Transcription
Transcription services basically involve the conversion of an audio file to one of text. I make these transcripts in the German (hochdeutsch) and Spanish languages. Frequently, these services are a necessary element for the production of any plurilingual video / audio content. Once the text is transcribed, it can be used as a tool for those who do not understand the spoken version in the language of the original audio.
The formats to be transcribed include mp3, digital audio, digital video, WMA, WAV, MOV.
This transcribed material can also be used as a basis for later translations in different languages.
Prices
Translation and proofreading
The prices for the translation and proofreading projects are determined by several factors:
• Number of words in the source text
• Complexity of matter
• Language combination
• Amount of time required to complete the project.
• Execution times - Translation projects that need to be delivered in a shorter period of time than those listed above may suffer surcharges of up to 50% in reference to normal rates
The prices of translations and proofreadings are fixed before the start of each project. If the scope of a project changes, we will work with you to agree on new prices that are more in line with the new project or scope. When you require a free quote, without obligations, I will provide you with a detailed quote for each document and pair of languages.
The price of translations (the price per word) also depends on the degree of complexity of each document. For example, general business letters (without technical terms) are quoted at a lower price than technical texts or software manuals.

Transcription
The price structure of the transcriptions is direct and simple. It is based on a price per minute of audio, which varies according to the language and complexity of the content of the source audio file. If the transcript must be translated into another language, a cost will be added to the final price. Consult without commitment the final price for your audio or video in particular.
